Most families wish they could afford to go to a professional photographer once a month when their babies are born. Children change so quickly and as parents we don’t want to miss a single expression. While most of us don’t have the time to schedule an appointment, or possibly lack the resources to have shoots more often, many parents wish they could. Below are some tips you can use at home to help keep up with your little one’s changes in between your appointments with your regular professional photographer.
- Try to be at the same eye level as your child. The perspective will be more believable and reminiscent.
- Always have a camera nearby because little ones tend to do the cutest things when the camera isn’t around.
- Try to catch them doing what they do naturally. Posed pictures usually result in fake expressions.

Capture the Moment: One of my clients decided it would be fun to play hide and seek so I waited out side the window for her to find me. I was ready and waiting for her surprised expression when she found me. It turned out to of the Mom's favorite portraits.
